First of all, the first book choice is fantastic, and I'll say it, a surprising one. It isn't fictional literature, rather it is a memoir. Sometimes book clubs rarely choose nonfictional books. So I am awaiting to read this piece of nonfiction very soon considering most of the time I'm caught up reading fictional literature. It's a great way for me to balance my habit of reading. Here is the summary of the first book chosen in the book club.

JUNE Reading BONANZA
Looking back at the March Bonanza and looking forward to the June Bonanza.
I first started the READING BONANZA SERIES in March of this year. I do it every third month of the year. It was kind of a messy process. However, I did manage to read quite a few books and learned a lot about doing it all. Here are the books from the March 2012 Bonanza month.

Now, let's talk about the reading that will be happening for the month of June. The selections will definitely be much longer than the month of March. Here is a list of books.

JUNE 2012 AWARENESS TOPICS
Another month is here, and it's time for another awareness month. This month, there are quite a few dates to make note of. First, if you didn't know, June 1st was International Children's Day, also known as The International Day for Protection of Children. June 8th is the day we celebrate awareness for Brain Tumors in the quest to learn more about neurosurgical measures, chemo and radiation therapy, immune- and antibody therapy being used to treat brain trumors. Later in the month will be awareness day for World Sickle Cell, World Music Day, International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, and International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. As usual, I will be posting information on how to gain knowledge, information, and most of all awareness of all these topics through the power of books. See below a list of dates featured for this month. Of course, these are not all the dates, but they are most of which I feel passionate about. If you feel there are other dates we could all benefit from knowing more about let us know.

Book Tour Review on Seeds of Discovery by Breeana Putroff
Book Review and Other Information
Seeds of Discovery by Breeana Putroff
Young Adult / Fantasy ; (288pgs)
Quinn Robbins' life was everything she thought a teenager's should be. She has good friends, a family that she loves, good grades, and an after-school job she enjoys. And, she's just been asked out by Zander Cunningham, a popular football player and great guy. But one day when driving home after picking up her little sister from the baby-sitter's, she nearly hits a boy who, after running blindly into the street, mysteriously disappears.
The mystery only deepens as she figures out who the boy is; William Rose, a reclusive, awkward boy from school who always has his nose in a pile of books.
As she becomes more aware of his behavior it becomes more obvious how out of the ordinary William is and how hard he deliberately tries to blend into the background. This only intrigues her more and she finds herself working to find out more about him, and exactly where he keeps disappearing to.
On a whim one night she follows him and suddenly finds herself in a new world. One where William is a prince, literally, and she is treated like a princess. She also discovers that she is stuck; the gate back to her own world isn't always open.
Quinn finds herself smack in the middle of a modern-day fairy tale, on a course that will change her life forever. (GoodReads)
I'm a few hours late posting this book review, but it was totally worth waiting to finish the book. It actually exceeded my expectations. What kind of expectations did I have? Well for one, I thought it was just going to be another one of those mainstream written stories, something we all know about. Little did I know I was going to be completely surprised.
